It is used as an intermediate for polyester polyols, unsaturated polyester resins, buffet heaters, morpholine production, paints and coatings, plasticizers, liquid laundry detergent, cement grinding and polyethylene glycol. It is also used as a moisture retention agent in the tobacco industry, as a snow spray in aviation and railways, and as a thinner in the adhesive industry.
